How to Consign with Joan’s Upscale Resale

 1. Go through your closets and drawers and pick out your best items, keeping in mind this criteria:

• Current fashion generally within two years, unless a great classic, an exceptional piece or a fabulous legitimate vintage piece

• See your items through the eyes of a buyer.

• Clothing is accepted in the current to upcoming season. Contact Joan's prior for any questions regarding this.

• Clothing must be brought in cleaned, on hangers, (wire is fine) , free of stains, wear or wrinkles

 • Joan's Upscale Resale does not carry sleepwear, swimwear, undergarments, socks or infant clothing.

 • Joan's is only interested in 100% authentic merchandise. My clients return because my shop offers only authentic items.

2. Please do not be offended by the rejection of any items. Space is limited, giving priority to those items known to sell to the benefit of both parties.

3. Phone ahead for an appointment. Appointments are during shop hours Tuesday- Saturday 10:30-6.

4. A maximum of fifteen items are accepted at a time.

5. To open an account a one time ten dollar fee will be collected.

6. Items are kept on the shop floor for 60 days: The consignor has the choice to either pick up any unsold items ( on their specified date) or they will be donated to local charities.

7. Prices are set by the shop owner. The consignor receives 40% of the selling price and may pick up their cash at their convenience – or of course shop! (Nearing their expiration date items may be marked down 25%).
